Finding trust in Mind - The Hsin Hsin Ming

What an amazing short Dharma text. Probably one of the best I have ever read. It is helping to let go of my fear towards life and trusting reality as it is. I recommend the edition by Richard B. Clarke and Gyoskusei Jikihara (about 12 pages long) that can be found for less than 2$ on Kindle, though there are many free editions online. Hope it can also be inspirational to your practice

    Hi Tomas,

Yes, it is marvelous. The Xin Xin Ming is at the heart of our Way.

The Supreme Way is not difficult
If only you do not pick and choose.
    Neither love nor hate,
    And you will clearly understand.

... words I and so many LOVE SO!

If it helps a bit, here is more about the Xin Xin Ming than you probably need to know.

A much younger me did a series of Sit-a-longs with the Xin Xin, if you are ever interested, and Kokuu did a very nice reading ...

Hi All, Inspired by Kokuu's lovely reading of the Hsin Hsin Ming, here is a list of commentaries on the poem, with Sit-a-Longs, that Jundo did a few years ago. Note: These were recorded during a past Ango season, so please consult your calendar to know whether you are, in fact, in Ango or not. Hoping this causes no confusion.

      Hi Tomás

Yes, a lovely text! I did an audio recording which can be found here:

        Hi Kokuu,

Sitting with pain in the A&E waiting room of the eye hospital, I listened to your recording and it's truly beautiful. I didn't know the text so far and need to study it in more detail later but thanks to your reading I now have something to add to reading list. ;-)

        Gassho,

It will need another surgery, but that was to be expected. And a higher dosage of the anti-glaucoma tablets will help against the pain until then.

            Thanks for asking!

Thank you, Tomás, for bringing attention to this teaching, and thank you, Kokuu, for the recording. I just listened to it, and I saw some storylines/discriminations to drop.

I have a lot to learn; take anything I say that sounds like teaching with a grain of salt.
