This discussion makes me think of the many times that Katagiri-roshi would talk about the importance of using just one piece of toilet paper. Most folks, I think, got that he was talking about being careful and conservative, but it made me wonder if, with Japanese toilet paper, it would be somehow possible to use only one piece.
