    Lah?

I know that it's short for Lent a Hand, and as far as I understand the reason we do so is to show that we're making an active effort to lend a hand during our day. But would it be worth taking it a step further and say what we did to lend a hand?

    Hi Evan

I think this will answer your questions

Dear All, As you know, we've asked folks to write “SAT TODAY” next to their signature before posting in this Forum. "SAT TODAY" means that someone has sat Zazen sometime during the past day, and that they will have “sat before chatting” in the Forum. Signing "SatToday" - Please

It wasn’t required that we say what we did. It is meant to be an encouragement of providing positive contributions in some way without reward in the form of recognition. We may not all be able to help out to the same degree. Posting what we did would lead to some inevitable comparisons.

    (Sorry for the extra sentence)

        Evan,

There is a thread for sharing stories of Compassion and Kindness here

Members have used it in the past for talking about what they have done, or what others have done for them, etc. It is meant to be a place to share, encourage and motivate members to stay engaged and involved everyday.

You are welcome to post there, or email Gojo who can post stories for you.
