Every year I pick a book to sit with for Ango. This year was “The Mountains and Waters Sutra” and commentary by Shohaku Okumura. I had out off reading it initially due to Jundo’s advice that it is a bit more advanced. I am glad I did. I took it slow. Put it down. Reread many sections. It is a truly lovely book. I am so glad for teachers such as Okumura for their deep study and dedication to bringing these writings to us.
