[I] remember weeping for a long time, soaking my pillow, crying myself to sleep muttering, "Mom, I'm so sorry you hurt. I wish I could have mad it better. Mom I'm so sorry!" Thinking of this made me so sad, I cried myself to sleep. Now, I am again made sad. Thank you Jundo for this service for others as I watched the video.

This comes every year at the time of my mother's passing, which was February 5, 2006. I didn't realize how close we were, even at some physical distance, until she was gone. I am so deeply grateful for how this practice reunites us with the loved ones who left, but never left.

My father passed February 1 2002.

Conducted the ceremony yesterday evening and sat the "Nehan-e" Zazenkai afterwards. My feelings were a mixed bag of sadness and gratitude. A lot of memories were triggered, as was to be expected. But it was not a negative experience; I am glad I could "meet" all those not so happy emotions in a calm situation. Thanks again for sitting the Zazenkai, too

I also like the fact that we can expose ourselves to a lot of different and traditional Buddhist ceremonies here at Treeleaf. By that I not only mean watching the ceremonies but also actively take part in them. I think this is something that regular local sitting groups usually don't offer, and if you don't have temple somewhere close by you are out of luck.
