    Situations Vacant

You don’t often see this sort of advert as the old saying goes enlightenment is not a career path.
Translated from French and just in case someone is looking for an opportunity.

Candidacy for guardian of the Temple of Caroux
Francesc, the current goalkeeper, comes down from the mountain after more than two years of samu at the Temple. The position became available, offering a monk or nun the opportunity to live in the heart of the Temple.

The temple aka Yujo Nyusanji is the main temple of Zen Deshimaru Buddhist Association. It is located at 850 meters on the plateau above the Orb valley in the Languedoc. Stunningly beautiful area the temple is an ancient Hameau with buildings fields and a lake. There is a road up and parking. Although remote there are sesshins over winter so not totally cut off.

I thought you might say that the position is "empty."

Probably have always an open position over there. The emptiness is mandatory in that place.

      Gassho and deep bows.

Standing in protest against wars around the world. We must put an end to this insanity!

“Since, in any case, it’s just ordinary people who wage war on each other, everybody is wrong, friend as much as foe. The winner and the loser are in any case just ordinary people.
It’s so sad to watch the world’s conflicts. There’s such a lack of common sense.“ - Kodo Sawaki Roshi - To You (Page 66)
