A good old hand around here (thank you Richard) suggested that we point folks to some places around the Sangha where they can dive in deeper after Jukai if looking for something more. I would like to suggest a couple.
Shokai's The 108 Gates of Dharma Illumination can be jumped in anywhere, and is going on now. Always rich and worthwhile. LINK
Bion will be diving into Stories of the Lotus Sutra from this week LINK
If you would like to try a traditional and beautiful Zen art and practice ... our Oryoki group meets monthly, with simple lessons for newcomers ... LINK
Look at our Recommended ‘At Home’ Liturgy for other great and small practices that one might add at home ... and ask us anything about them ... LINK
Of course, we have lots and lots of old and new talks and essays on the art of Zazen ... never too late to look at those ... just dive in anywhere! ... LINK
And, of course, we sit Zazen ... which is the whole world right here.
However, when you do dig into those, there is one very VERY VERY important reminder ...
A key part of our practice is becoming less oriented ... free of ... so much thought of progress, goals, courses to "pass." In fact, strange as it sounds, becoming free of the need for so much achievement and need for goals is itself a Real Achievement and Goal Attained!
I wrote this awhile back for people looking for progress on this wise-crazy path.

Let us know what we can do to help.

... there are some 'this and thats' that we can do to deepen our practice ... such as another 'Zen Book' to read or 'Zen Talk' to hear, studying a bit more of Buddhist and Zen teachings, attending more retreats, adding more practices such as Samu, Bowing, Chanting, Sewing, studying the Precepts or undertaking a Jukai, learning to bring 'Zazen' off the Zafu and to all aspects of life ... ALL ENRICHING WAYS TO DEEPEN THIS PRACTICE!
... However, the fundamental Heart of this Path must remain learning to be so intimately At Home, At One with life ... that there is no need for "what's next" ... no hole to fill as "something missing". Our way to do so is simply to sit Shikantaza, dropping all thought and desire for "what's next" ... all while welcoming and embracing whatever comes next.
