          I just Sat together today.

I dedicate this practice to Kojitsu and his family members.

His essay is so beautiful. He will always be someone that inspirers me, and I believe also inspirers all Treeleafers here.

When I struck the singing bowl, the sound comes. But after several second the sound disappear. But, where the sound go? Is the sound really coming, and is the sound really go? When we can hear the silent bowl singing in Zazen. We hear the eternal sound that beyond coming and going.

Kojitsu left us physically, but I believe he is back to the "non coming and going", which is actually all of us is beyond coming and going.

          Deep bows to Kojitsu.

And thank you Jundo for leading this Zazenkai.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Kojitsu, but was moved by his writing.
I sat this evening with you all and dedicated the merit to his memory.

As with Sekishi, I am sad to have missed the ceremony live but sat for Kojitsu and all who love him.

May all beings be free from suffering and the causes of suffering.

Thank you everyone. Due to personal issues I’ve had to sit with you in stages. I finished this evening.

Kojitsu Thank you for your beautiful teaching. I hope that if I ever deal with similar health issues I can do so with anything close to your dignity and wisdom

With the few interactions with Kojitsu, my practice deepened and softened my some of my more heldfast misunderstandings of teachings.
May all being be relieved from suffering and walk through the Gate together.

The Vietnamese temple near their home where Koji and his family also attended (his wife is Vietnamese) had their Ceremony for Koji. This is the Altar there ...
