The recent replies made me read through this thread again.
Thank you all for your kind words and congratulations. It really means a lot to me.
Surely, this wouldn't have happened without all of you. I am thankful for you walking this path together with me, us learning and practicing together.

I've recently had several conversations about what lead me to practice, ordaining and transmission and what my plans are.
It was such a slow and organic process and development that I fail to give a clear answer.
The right triggers, support and guidance in the right places and curiosity and a bit stubbornness, too.
Looking back it seems like a wound, but clear path that started decades ago and some who knew me from that time would maybe say that it was simply consequential.
But the reality of it is, that looking ahead, it never seemed like a path to me.
It was just our usual one step after the other.
Sometimes stumbling and falling on the face and getting up again. Sometimes turning this or that way for the next step, but rarely seeing farther.
Now again, a door opened and I will breathe and take another step.
Still, there is no path in sight. But some guideposts. Vows. Precepts. Practice. Teacher. Buddha. Dharma. Sangha.
And a stubborn will to being useful and continue walking might help, too.

Looking very much forward to our Rohatsu weekend!
              Deep bows,
              Kotei sat/lah today.
