I realize now that zazen and learning Schikantaza has helped me with changing attitudes about my health issues and I am grateful and recognize my own part in my own decision to give up harmful drugs and alcoholic beverages. I have been without theses substances and cigarettes for 3.5 and 2.2 decades. Treeleaf Zendo I am certain played an important role in the recovery of normal life. What is normal for us, my daughter, wife and me.Unfortunate for me there was no magic or fiery tongue. Love kindness and understanding from people who cared.

Again I have violated the rules and spirit of these women and men who have posted here by going on and on.

If this group is still active I would love to join, and accept these rules.

          Hi Andrea

The group is not active at present with respect to studying this book, but we may open again to read a different, or even the same, text in the future.

            As Kokuu said, Andrea.

However, if you wish to discuss matters of practice with illness (physical or mental), or living with chronic illness, it is fine to reach out directly also, if you wish. My inbox is open any time. [encouragement]

It is true that my entries here have been some of the longest. Let me offer amends for spending much of your time in my past, for it is in the moment of typing this message to you, I wish to be present in the moment, and my next book of poetry is ready, and my dear Marjorie has offered to upload it into Amazon. I must have patience and I announce here that my next book is dedicated to all my Teachers in My Life who have most influenced from College to Zendo, some four places where I made changes.

As a fellow sufferer of Encephalomyelitis, I would like to join the book club, if still up and running.
