The improbable, implausible, and nearly impossible has happened!
I just signed a contract with the publishing arm of the Essentia Foundation to publish my next book, entitled:
.
Essentia Foundation is well known for its work through its director, Bernardo Kastrup, a familiar face on youtube science and philosophy channels. Kastrup, like neuro-scientist Donald Hoffman, advocates a "not all is as meets the eye" perspective on this world that (we think) we see ...
Alas, the wheels of publishing turn slowly, and with editing, proofs and such, I understand that the book will not actually reach shelves until about a year from now.
However, the universe waited 13.8 billion years for YOU, so one more year is fine.
Here is the central theme of the book:

Bernardo Kastrup is a philosopher and computer scientist best known for his work in the field of consciousness studies, particularly his development of analytic idealism. His research interests are Philosophy of Mind, Ontology, Neuroscience of Consciousness and Artificial Intelligence.
Kastrup is the executive director of Essentia Foundation. His work has set off the modern renaissance of metaphysical idealism, the notion that reality is essentially mental. He has a Ph.D. in philosophy (ontology, philosophy of mind) and another Ph.D. in computer engineering (reconfigurable computing, artificial intelligence). As a scientist, Bernardo has worked for the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) and the Philips Research Laboratories (where the ‘Casimir Effect’ of Quantum Field Theory was discovered). He has also been creatively active in the high-tech industry for almost 30 years now, having co-founded parallel processor company Silicon Hive (acquired by Intel in 2011) and worked as a technology strategist for the geopolitically significant company ASML. Bernardo has most recently started AI hardware company Syncthetics B.V., currently in stealth mode. Formulated in detail in many academic papers and books, Bernardo’s ideas have been featured on Scientific American, the Institute of Art and Ideas, the Blog of the American Philosophical Association, and Big Think, among others. Bernardo’s 11th book, published in 2024, is Analytic Idealism in a Nutshell: A straightforward summary of the 21st-century’s only plausible metaphysics.

However, the universe waited 13.8 billion years for YOU, so one more year is fine.
Here is the central theme of the book:
The whole universe somehow led to you. In order for you to have been born in this life, every event and eventuality of physics, chemistry, stellar and planetary development, biology and evolution, physiology and human brain structure, world history and your own family’s history had to work out just so, just right, from the Big Bang all the way to your own conception ... bar none and flawlessly through the billions of years … if indispensable to your being. In other words, everything happened that needed to happen for your birth. Not a wrong turn turned, not one stumble stumbled, not a single miss missed, if such turn, stumble or miss would have led to the world’s missing out on your presence. There is something astonishing, profoundly significant, yet too easily overlooked in this very simple fact, offering important clues about the nature of reality and the question, “Why are we here?” What might be responsible for the improbable, implausible, nearly impossible fact of you? Was it just chance alone, or something much more?
