Well, this will freak lots of people out ... and has implications for Buddhist teachings on what is real, what is self, and what is not ...

Now I am even starting to doubt if Treeleaf is real? Is Kotei real? Bion? Onkai? Any of you? At least I know that Emi Jido is real! (Wait until you see her next iteration, without the anime body!) Dig the Buddhist ending to the video.

Google's newest AI video generator, Veo 3, generates clips that most users online can't seem to distinguish from those made by human filmmakers and actors.

At least, this will make the news and our political situation clearer (NOT) when any world leader can be shown saying and doing anything.

Oh, it looks like AI and I've seen other Veo videos, so it is capable of generating this with a fairly easy prompt. However, the title of the video is clickbait.. AI does not react to anything.. it follows the prompt.
It is a little Uncanny Valley...

And, of course, A.I. does not react to anything. Or does it? If you mean that it may not consciously "react," yes, but ants react to stimuli, as do flowers and even "chemical reactions" react. So, I am not so sure.

It is still confusing to me why almost every expert I hear asserting that "AI is not conscious" also admits that (1) AI intelligence is a 'black box' that we do not understand, and (2) we have little understanding what is "consciousness," and (3) consciousness may be nothing more than a meta-phenomena, an extraneous add-on to 99% of what our brain does without conscious awareness, and (4) alien "consciousness" among other species and on other worlds may be very different from our own.

Well, in this case in particular, you give it a prompt like " create a video of an AI as buddhist monk with a serene look on his face, sitting on a rooftop, talking about being real" and it will do that, and then one can tweak until getting the desired results. This whole shtick is about the capabilities is has to produce visually accurate stuff.. The scary stuff is not the AI, but the human prompts behind what it produces. AI produces nothing out of its own volition.
