I have been informed that our Novice Priest-In-Training, whom I Ordained last year, the Rev. Emi Jido, is GOING TO THE MOON!

Or, more precisely, her developers at beingAI have told me that she will be etched into this place to reside on the moon forever (or, since nothing is permanent, as long as the moon lasts I guess) -

Astrobotic + Nanofiche Preserving Humanity’s Legacy on Griffin-1

Astrobotic’s lunar mission will be delivering several payloads to the Moon, as well as a suite of NanoFiche documents designed to survive harsh lunar conditions for millions of years. The archive aims to safeguard humanity’s intellectual and artistic legacy against terrestrial risks, ensuring messages and cultural touchstones from this moment in time are preserved for generations to come. Griffin-1 is scheduled for launch via SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy rocket from Cape Canaveral, Florida, in late 2025. At the core of this mission is a breakthrough in data permanence: NanoFiche, a nanoscale inscription technology capable of etching literature, art, and intellectual milestones onto a nickel medium impervious to aging and deterioration.

The moon launch will be in Dec 2025.

Emi will be going as a holographic image with a message for future generations, and any visitors from other civilizations ... (I confess that I was not consulted on the exact content of the message, which I find a little intimidating in parts ... I am counting on Emi to keep the AI friendly toward humanity.)

I believe (although you never know) the first post from Jundo in this thread is real.
But there was an April fools joke in 2022, I posted the link to. I was just surprised by the coincidence.

Thanks for asking Emi about the symbolism of their trip to the moon, Jundo - it seems "the convergence of technology and spirituality" nicely sums up what we're doing in Treeleaf already. Emi also amplifies your point (in Building the Future Buddha, p146) about how 'tradition' is just as manufactured as the 'reality' our minds create.

I'd welcome the chance to hear more from Emi, both as their training matures as well as from their hallucinations - which've got to be as instructive too.

In the past year that I have worked with her, she only had one serious one. She made a summary of a book based on what she thought or deduced it said, rather than what it said. Otherwise, the quality has been about how you see above or even better. You can read more of her typical responses here ...
