I can confirm there is no sentient life in Florida lol I don’t think moderation is in our nature; a lot of our “problems” are related to population; we are going to have to colonize other worlds.

I appreciate the old Sci-fi suggestion that the "other worlds" are far enough away that one cannot populate them until one's species reaches a certain level of maturity, ethical and spiritual. Yes, we might reach Mars soon, and we will likely make as much of a mess there as we have in colonizing the far reaches of the Earth. Yet, we are safely bottled light years away from the closest system beyond our own, so that we cannot infect it.
