Who is in charge here?
Empty office, silent chair
Only echoes reply.

Who is in charge here, in this land of ours?
Is it the leader with the power and the sway?
Or is it the people, with their quiet voices,
Who shape the course of every single day?

Is it the wealthy, with their money and their might,
Who hold the reins and pull the strings?
Or is it the poor, with their struggles and their fight,
Who keep the wheels of progress turning?

Is it the politicians, with their speeches and their lies,
Who promise change and deliver none?
Or is it the activists, with their passion and their cries,
Who fight for what is right and just and done?

Is it the media, with their stories and their spin,
Who shape the way we see the world?
Or is it the truth, with its power to begin
A change in all of us, unfurled.

Who is in charge here, in this land of ours?
It's all of us, together, hand in hand,
Shaping the future, building, creating power,
Guiding the ship, to a better land.
