The wildlife pictures are amazing and beautiful. Poor coyote girl, I hope she finds her way back to her buddies. I do see some positive attitude change in our rural area, the older farmers unfortunately just consider them vermin and shoot them on sight... but a lot of us here now revel in their sounds and rare appearances, (and from the sounds we hear at night, they are plentiful!)

The family and I do civil war competition shooting (not reenactments). It's a way to remind us of our fallen heroes and to respect history.

Our family lost a good friend today. His name was Cedric. He was 13 years old.

He did not come without his challenges. He would regularily throw up his dinner, and often used my wife's gym bag as his litter box. He was very loving and very difficult, but we took him as he was.

              He will be missed..

I am sorry to hear of Cedric's passing ... sounds like he had a wonderful family that loved him.

Kyotai, your description of Cedric reminds me a lot of my first cat, Rudy- lo, these some 40 years ago. he was an orange tiger too. they're doubtless giving each other a hard time somewhere. I appreciate being reminded of my old friend and send much metta, gassho, Robert

                                eagles (1).jpg

These two live on the cell tower about a half mile away. They eat the plentiful fish in the nearby ponds, channels and bays. Their talons exert 400 pounds of pressure so if they get hungry small mammals are at risk.
