At the last minute, I decided to add a daily walk in my "boring" neighborhood to my ango commitments. By paying attention, I've noticed a lot of things, some pleasant and some not (traffic + squirrels = )
Yesterday I saw the first red leaf of autumn in my driveway.
It snowed here on Monday (did not stay on the ground) and there will be frost tonight. I worked hard the last 2 days to harvest and process everything that would not survive the frost. Lots of green tomatoes and herbs set out to dry in the living room! The carrots and beets will be OK to stay in the ground. We are having roasted beets or beet stew or pasta with beets for most meals!
