Dizziness after stretching arms over the head

I've noticed few times, every now and then, that after sitting (not zazen) and feeling with low energy I tend stretch my arms on top of my head and then start to feel so dizzy that I can pass out/collapse. It generally feels good to experience it, recharging completely and sometimes feels like tripping.

I did some research and has to do with changes of blood pressure because the blood starts to flow to the brain when stretching and that sudden change makes one dizzy.

    Anyone has experienced something similar?

I am not a doctor, but suggest you get a medical check from a doctor.

I bet (with no medical insight at all) that it is blood pressure changes/drops that come from changing body position from sitting to standing. I get that sometimes.

But in case it is a more serious issue, definitely get yourself checked! That is what you must do.

      Kaitan,

I am actually going to lock the discussion, as it is just in the range of "medical advice" that we do not offer here. As I said, get checked.

If one of the licensed medical doctors in our Sangha have any comment, I will ask them to PM me and I will post it here. However, I don't think that the general members of our community can or should really be offering specific opinions here. I hope you understand.

Let us know what the doctors say.
