    Hi Shinkon,

Welcome to this forum! There is much discussion about practise regarding illness (physical and mental) and modifications that can be made in order to help alleviate these conditions.

I, myself, struggle with treatment depression and ADHD (combination type). Feel free to chat [emoji846]

Hi, I practice on a cushy couch. I have arthritis and PTSD, and have been depressed leading to despair.

But when I'm able, I just let things be and watch my self-talk.

Lately my favorite thought is: What is a fraction of Infinity?...

      Cushy couch, Infinity, fraction of

        Hi Marita

A cushy couch sounds good. Working with arthritis and PTSD must be hard but letting things be and watching your self-talk that seems like a wise way to approach it.

It may or may not help you to know that in mathematics there are several different kinds of infinity!

          Hi Kakuu,
Do these maths effect the Oneness of All Things?
I just found out that there are an infinite amount of Infinities. How amazing.

Many infinities but just one Oneness or Wholeness!

                Hi Marita!

I too practice on a cushy couch!

Watching your Self Talk is good practice as well. It can be difficult to watch what your mind says and not cling to it.

                Simply watch.

I’m sorry you are depressed. Remember, you are among friends. .

                    Hello everyone.

I experience chronic back pain, and recently it has been very bad. This affects my mood and activities. Seeing doctors has not been fruitful.

The only way I have found I can sit comfortably to practice is in my bed with a pillow against the headboard, with full back support.

I haven't been practicing as much as I usually do, as I have found it difficult with the pain being so noticeable. However, I think I should be practicing more!

                      Hi N.E.,
Twice I had to sit still for over 9 hours due to severe shoulder pain. I focused on the pain. I was just sitting, because i was unable to put a shirt or coat on.
I think that could pass for just sitting. although it lacked proper intention.
I also lay down sometimes when zenning.
I was able to get a shoulder replacement. Now I need 2 knees.

                        HI NE

I find that pain can be really draining and it can be hard to sit when feeling like that. Sometimes I just have to give in to the reality of the pain and heaviness rather than trying to do something. Practice can take many forms and there are no shoulds.

I am glad you have found a way to at least sit comfortably. At some point, whatever works is good!
