The Third of the 108 Gates Of Dharma Illumination

    Gate Three
This time around we will review the Gates by reading the following, placing it in your heart and sleeping on it. Then, tomorrow, live and practice it until evening when you leave a brief comment as to how it affected you.

Delight is a gate of Dharma-illumination; for it is the mind of peace and tranquillity.

By “Dharma Gate”, we mean a teaching or practice we can study and explore to gain insights that deepen our practice. It's a way to integrate our understanding of approaching reality; one method is to research and study koans such as:

"Upon seeing the morning star, Gautama became Shakyamuni
Buddha when He was, is and will be awakened to His
TRUE SELF and said, says and will say, “I was, am and will
be enlightened, together with the whole of the great earth
and all its sentient beings, simultaneously..
    "
    -Master Keizan's Denkoroku/ Nearman ch. 1

Can you relate this to Gate #3

One poetic response to this question was:

    Delight in the Buddha way
    Is the wellspring of peace
    As the waters of Mind
    Flow clear and bright

Your delight thaws the frozen mountain spring,
Allowing the delight of all beings to become the gushing mountain spring.

Read the following, place it in your heart and sleep on it. Then, tomorrow, live and practice it until evening when you can leave a brief comment as to insights or revelations you may have received during the process.
Right conduct of the actions of the body is a gate of Dharma-illumination; for [with it] the three kinds of behavior are pure.
By “Dharma Gate”, we mean a teaching or practice we can study to gain insights into the deepening our practice. It's a way to integrate our understanding of approaching reality.
The Koan: "Master Seppo preached to an assembly: I have met with you in the house of Bo Shu Tei. I have met with you on the summit of U Seki Rei. I have met with you in front of the Zazen Hall.
Master Hofuku asked Master Gako: I would like to put "in front of the Zazen Hall" to one side. But What does he mean by "in the house of Bo Shu Tei." and "on the summit of U Seki Rei."

This story explains that the state that existsin common for all Buddhist Monks is in their conduct In the actions of their real life.
One poetic response to this question was:
                  Best to be Buddha
                  Here and now
                  Never tomorrow
