    109/108 Gates of Dharma Illumination

The One Hundred and ninth Gate

The state in which water is sprinkled on the head is a gate of Dharma illumination; for [with it], following birth in a family, we are at last able to realize anuttara samyaksambodhi.

    Anuttara Samyaksambodhi :
the supreme right and balanced state of complete truth

Ah Shokai! Of course there is one more Gate.

In honor of your birthday tomorrow, I figured one more verse was in order:

        Not to be wasted
        So precious
        Is this human birth

        Gassho,
        Seikan

Open to Life in a benevolent way,
              He attains the Way Supreme,
An astronaut beyond time, space, life and death.

              Have a wonderful birthday!
