    43/108 Gates of Dharma Illumination

    Forty-third Gate

Pursuit of abundant knowledge is a gate of Dharma illumination; for [with it] we truly reflect on the form of the Dharma.

    Pursuit:
an effort to secure or attain; quest

    The Dharma takes shape
    With study
    Then we break the mold

      Wow Seikan that's deep!

I was wondering: pursuit of abundant knowledge is a dharma gate, but do we also heap up junk-knowledge that obstructs the way? Is letting go of our grip on, or unlearning, our junk-knowledge also a dharma gate?

      Thanks for another day Shokai

        Concentrate on the possitive aspects.

          Cutting deeper into the apple,
Seeing through the skin and the flesh until
          We reach the core
And find the seeds! Ready to start anew.
But all of this is meaningless
Unless we taste the sweetness of
          Actually chewing and swallowing.
