    The one Hundred and seventh of 108 Gates Of Dharma Illumination

    The one Hundred and seventh Gate; The state beyond regressing and straying

    The state beyond regressing and straying is a gate of Dharma illumination; for it is replete with the Dharma of past buddhas. (Nishijima/Cross)

    The ground of unremitting practice is a gate of realizing dharma; it embodies the dharma of all past buddhas. (Tanahashi)

    Gate Gatha:
    May we, together with all buddhas;
    Transcend regressing and straying
    That we may become intimate with the Dharma of all past buddhas.

    Reflection Prompts:

    The ground of unremitting practice (The state beyond regressing and straying) embodies the dharma of all past buddhas. What more could we add to this?

    Capping Verse:
    Surrender fully
    To the flow
    And float not upstream.

    I’ve been blessed with a good life. While life hasn’t always worked out the way I wanted, it generally has worked out fine. This is largely due to the approach I have taken which is to take things as they come. Don’t fight my way back upstream.

      Like Tairin, I have more or less adapted to the flow of things in my life. Happily, things have worked out so far. Not fighting reality, there is no going back.

        The ground of following the precepts embodies the Dharma of all past Buddhas.
