    Ryaku Fusatsu - Monday, 10 October, 2022

    Dear sangha

Around the day that the moon is full each month, we will gather together to re-affirm the precepts and consider our practice over the last thirty days. The history of the ceremony is explained here: https://tinyurl.com/About-Ryaku-Fusatsu

To find your local time for Ryaku Fusatsu, please see the Treeleaf calendar, which will automatically adjust to your time zone:

The Ryaku Fusatsu ceremony will be held in the scheduled sitting room, which can be found here:

You can also join on livestream and "any-time" after here: https://youtu.be/fNU2HZ2qOqg

If you wish to join, please ensure you have a copy of the ceremony available -- you can download it here: https://tinyurl.com/RF-Ceremony

It is appropriate to use a small table with a bowl of water and leaf/small piece of foliage. You may also add flowers and/or a candle if you wish.

All are welcome -- there is no need to have previously taken the precepts. We hope you can join us!

That was wonderful. My laptop camera wouldn’t work for me but it was lovely to take part and see everyone! Where can i find a list of the female linage? I was feeling a bit of inspiration from it.

Thank you all for being there. It is so lovely to do this together

It is also in the Treeleaf Retreat Chant Book.

You may find this article interesting of how the female ancestor lineage came about. As I said in the ceremony, it is a surprisingly recent development, at the request of many students who wanted to celebrate this side of Zen.

                    Thank you, Kokuu.
I wasn’t able to be live with you, but I sat and re-affirmed the precepts with you all on the recorded video.
