Ryaku Fusatsu Monday 14 June 2022

    Dear all

Here is the ceremony to sit along with.

The history of the ceremony is explained here: https://www.treeleaf.org/forums/show...tment-Ceremony

If you wish to join please ensure you have a copy of the ceremony (message me if you need one), and a small table with a bowl of water and leaf/small piece of foliage. You may also add flowers and/or a candle if you wish.

      Dear all

My apologies, as I understand that the sound was less than optimal for this month's ceremony. Bion was talking me through the audio set up and I forgot to click on the final part which would have made it okay. Hopefully next month will be better.

Thank you all for joining and I am sorry if you could not follow any part of the ceremony.

I am going to upload a copy of the ceremony text to the Treeleaf Google Drive so that there is always a direct link to it, and any changes that are made.

At Bird Haven Zendo (we were named for Bird Haven Lane, the address of our former brick-and-mortar location, btw) we have been doing Avowal of Karma and Renewal of Vows quarterly, on or near the solstices and equinoxes. It is from 9 am to 12 noon, a zazenkai plus ceremony. Here is some information: https://birdhavenzendo.blogspot.com/...e-19-2022.html

Thank you for that, Shōnin. Our ceremonies look very similar.

Avowal of Karma and Renewal of Vows is a really lovely name for it!
