There are other Buddhist groups who are not going to do this. I think of Interbeing and Thich Nhat Hanh ad the monks who took over Plumb Village after he became sick. There are live or socializing groups throughout Buddhism. Some only want money from Lay members. I’m only guessing this based on what I know of one group. Yes thank goodness there are also Interbeing online groups.
