    Grass Roof Tea House

    Hi all,

the Grass Roof Tea House will open its doors on the second and fourth Sunday of each month at 10am UK time (11am Central Europe, 12pm in Ukraine and 1pm in Turkey).
For other timezones, the Practice Calendar will do the conversion magic for you.
Although it is aimed at European, Asian and Oceanic time zones, everyone is welcome to attend.

It will take place in the Meeting Room (Zoom ID 483 483 1200)and last for one hour.

The tea houses provide a place where Treeleaf members can be social and talk about things other than Zen, although that is not off topic.
We basically aim to create the same kind of environment that might occur after a Zazenkai at a regular bricks and mortar Zendo in which people wind down and just chat about their lives and get to know each other.

Feel free to bring a hot or cold beverage and we look forward to seeing you!

    Gassho
    Ryumon and Kotei

I really hope to make it to one of these. Sunday late afternoons are often tricky with family outings, but I REALLY love tea hahaha

Oh please do get started, as I am right there with ya!

The morning before yesterday: A simple sencha from Shizuoka Prefecture
Yesterday morning: Tieguanyin from Anxi County, Fujian Province
This morning: Pu'er from Bulang Mountain, Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province

What beautiful glories be living in your pot these days?

          That sounds lovely!
Yesterday morning, I've had a Dong Feng Mei Ren ('Oriental Beauty') from family Deng in MiaoLi
and today a Rou Gui from Wuyi Shan (North Fujian) - a quite smoky tasting one.
          Bows,
          Kotei sat/lah today.

Ah, a fan of oolongs, I see!
I haven't had a Dongfang meiren in many years. To be honest, I think it was about 20 years ago when I worked in a tea shop hahaha

I tip my cup to you, good sir

              Hello everyone,

we'll have another Grass Roof Tea House this coming Sunday April 26th.
Let's have some Tea, a casual chat and a smile.

Please check the beginning time with the Practice Calendar: https://www.treeleaf.org/practice-calendar/.

Although we are usually talking about life, the universe and everything,
Zen practice and Sangha are of course very welcome topics, too .

Our host this Sunday will be Ryumon.

              Looking forward to it!
