    Petition for Gaza

I usually do not bring politics into this place. However, this crosses well over into simple humanity and the Precepts. Yesterday I signed this petition for Gaza, and I urge others to do so if they feel called. I especially urge other folks of Jewish heritage to consider signing, as our voices are particularly important on this.

Petition from Ven. Bikku Bodhi: President Trump, Gaza Is Starving. Please Stop This!

Alas, I rather doubt the effect, but the effort is worth it nonetheless.

          Hi Sensei,

Wanting the end of starvation around the world is a beautiful act, and in Gaza, it is not different. However, I am afraid that Trump cannot do anything. Independent of the USA's dealings with this, the result will be the same. I am saying this because Hamas, as a terrorist group, makes the Palestinian people hostages, and they often steal the trucks full of donated food to resell to their starving people. Additionally, they utilize their starvation as a means to sustain their system. There is no right side in a war. Humans should stop causing suffering to everything around them and live in peace.

Praying for the end of this insanity.

Standing in protest against wars around the world. We must put an end to this insanity!

There are many bad players, with poor children and innocent adults caught between. There are criminals on all sides.

This for sure roshi. There are a bunch of people satisfied with human suffering. So much vanity, egoist and other mind poison. All of this is just so sad…

Don't know if this was influenced by the petition, but in one of today's US papers...

In an interview, he addressed the Gaza plight directly. Who know
