    [Engaged] Famine in East Africa

    Dear Sangha,
Please keep in mind those trying to stay alive each day in the famine in East Africa. Send them your Metta and remember them in whatever charity donation you make.

Thank you. I hope you don't mind that I moved this post over to the My Favorite Charities section. (and I hope other folks will feel free to post at any time causes that speak to their heart).

If you don't have any particular group in mind, I might mention OxFam as doing much work in that area ...

    Also, Save the Children ...

I went through the Irish Red Cross, by the way Jundo. I know they are above board ... and there's no Irish Red Dharma Wheel yet!

Hmmm. Red Dharma Wheel. Is there one yet? Perhaps we should make one! Really.

            Jundo! I agree!
There is a Red Cross, a Red Crescent (http://www.ifrc.org/) and I've seen a Red Star on the side of Israeli ambulances. There is no Red Wheel.

What about a registered charity? Want to meet to discuss this?
