    [Ecodharma] Rebroadcast: Ecosattva vows

Hi just wanted to share and rebroadcast a link from the Wild Fox Sangha who shared from Ancient Dragon Zen Gate.

Based on my love of the world and understanding of deep interdependence of all things, I vow: To live in Earth more lightly and less violently in the food, products and energy I consume. To commit myself daily to the healing of the world and the welfare of all beings; to discern and replace human

"Based on my love of the world and understanding of deep interdependence of all things, I vow:

To live in Earth more lightly and less violently in the food, products and energy I consume.

To commit myself daily to the healing of the world and the welfare of all beings; to discern and replace human systems of oppression and harm.

To invite personal discomfort as an opportunity to share in the challenge of our collective liberation.

To draw inspiration, strength and guidance from the living Earth, from our ancestors and the future generations, and from our siblings of all species.

To help others in their work for the world and to ask for help when I feel the need.

To pursue a daily spiritual practice that clarifies my mind, strengthens my heart and supports me in observing these vows."

    Thanks for posting Matt.

if you read back through the archives you’ll see that this group read Ecodharma by David Loy about 3 years ago. It is my recollection that the Ecosattva vows were in one of the appendices

Always good to have a reminder.

Thanks Tairin, yeah I figured it was unlikely you missed this. Love David Loy he was a major reason I got into social work.

Thank you for sharing, Matt. As Tairin notes, they were in David Loy's Ecodharma book but it never hurts to be reminded of them.

So great that David Loy led you to social work.
