Just a reminder that the first live meeting at One Earth Sangha will be this Sunday, November 12, @12:30 - 2:00 PM US Eastern Time.

Please remember to register if you wish to attend. I am not sure if you need to register to watch the meeting afterwards but those of us who do go will doubtless receive a link for that.

Now I entered my OneEarth account and tried to look for a link for the session. It says I am not registered
for the Ecosattva Training asking me to complete the formal registration with fee and so on...

Kokuu talked with them so I will let him respond. A Donation in your name for the training was made into a general donation account (as they recommended). I don’t remember if I used your Buddhist name or your given name.

You should be getting emails to let you know when the meetings are. I am not sure about watching afterwards and will check with Dawn at OES.

I don't see any way to watch the 11/12 meeting. There is a recording of the 10/22 meeting with Rupert Marques. I can also access the training videos. The impression I get from the materials is that the Sunday meetings are not being recorded, but I also see that you apparently have to register for each one in advance, so maybe folks that did that are able to get a video. Someone who registered and attended, please check to see if they are available after for people who register. If so, I will register for each one as they come up.

I have just messaged Dawn @OES to check. I registered and attended but have not been sent a link to watch again. If I get one, I will see if I can share it, but it may be there are no 'watch later' options even for those who register, which would be sad.

This first one was pretty introductory and a way for people to get to know each other a little, but future ones would seem important to be able to watch after.

I went into my registration and could not find a link to the live meeting recording. Other talks (presentations in the past) were there.

I also found this which makes me think they will not give access to these monthly live meetings that just started..

“The rest of the EcoSattva Training Live Gatherings will focus primarily on connection in small groups. For this reason, we do not plan on sharing recordings of these sessions.”


They also ask us to not share course materials with those not registered.

You are correct, Doshin. I just received this reply from Dawn:

Thanks so much for asking about this. As you know, the live gatherings offer an opportunity for EST participants to freely explore and share with others their experiences with what comes up in the training. To support that with a safe, confidential space, we do not record the sessions. Creating such a space helps some of us to feel more comfortable sharing what arises in the moment. I hope your group members are able to join us for at least some of the future gatherings.

I let her know that Nengei (although not by name) will not be able to attend any meetings because of work commitments and that feels like a shame.

It is a shame, but the way it is. We (all of us) seem trapped in this need to take responsibility for solving others' struggles; if I have a reason to not be recorded in a group, rather than taking responsibility by putting a placeholder name up and turning off my own video, the whole thing will simply not be recorded.

Yes, i have similar feelings, Nengei. It would seem to be to be enough that the Breakout Rooms are not recorded.

If the recording is only available to people on the Ecosattva Training that seems really different to publically posting it on Youtube or some other place that is open access.

Hi Kokuu,

Depending on the platform they are using recording breakout rooms might not be possible. We use WebEx at work and it won't record the breakout rooms.
