For example, if someone is a novelist sitting at her desk looking at a blank screen and unmoving cursor that screen looks blank and unmoving, and does not look to have other form. But the screen is truly not only blank nor merely text, and its features are varied beyond count. It is like a palace of endless rooms. It is like a jewel of countless facets. It is like a field with numberless grasses . It only looks blank and unmoving as far as seen by the eye at that time. All things of the world are like this. ... Whole worlds are found all around the screen. It is so, not only looking outwards, but also directly under your feet, in your own hand, and in every inch of this screen.

A novelist writes on a screen, and no matter how far the words go, the possibilities of the words are without end. ... At the same time, the novelist, in being a novelist never leaves their desk. When their need is large their doing of the writing and use of the screen will be large. When the need is small their doing and using are thus small. Thereby, each such a novelist totally uses its full range as a novelist doing their writing in each moment, and each of them wholly brings its realm to vibrant activity. Yet, if the novelist were to desk, the person would cease being a novelist at once. ... Thus we can conclude that the desk is life and screen is life. Being this novelist is life, and also, life is the novelist and life is the desk and screen. In this same way, practice-enlightenment is the expression of bounded and boundless life right here and now.

If a novelist attempts to fully explore the reaches of its field without writing, this novelist will never find its way or place. But when we find our place where we are here and now, writing occurs that actualizes the universe. When we find our way in this moment, writing occurs that actualizes the universe.

This is a fun one! I'm an Engineering Technician (on CNC machines) by trade.

For example, if someone is a [machinist] standing in a [shop] looking at an [open] and unmoving [machine] that [machine] looks still and unmoving, and does not look to have other form. But the [machine] is truly not only stillness nor merely movement, and its features are varied beyond count. It is like a palace of endless rooms. It is like a jewel of countless facets [a universe with endless atoms] It only looks still and unmoving as far as seen by the eye at that time. All things of the world are like this. ... Whole worlds are found all around in this [machine]. It is so, not only looking outwards, but also directly under your feet, in your own hand, and in every inch of this [machine].

A [machinist] [creates parts] in their [machine], and no matter how much they [cut metal], the possibilities of the [machine] are without end. ... At the same time, the [machinist], in being a [machinist] never leaves their [machine]. When their need is large their doing of the [machining] and use of the [machine] will be large. When the need is small their doing and using are thus small. Thereby, each such [machinist] totally uses its full range as a [machinist] doing their [machining] in each moment, and each of them wholly brings its realm to vibrant activity. Yet, if the [machinist] were to [quit], the person would cease being a [machinist] at once. ... Thus we can conclude that [the shop] is life and [the machine is] is life. Being this [machinist] is life, and also, life is the [machinist] and life is the [shop] and [parts created]. In this same way, practice-enlightenment is the expression of bounded and boundless life right here and now.
