Hello, fellow readers!
As Jundo announced some time ago, at the end of this month we take up a new book for our book club to chew on during a few months. I'm the fortunate monk that gets to be in your company for these 29 weeks, as we ponder the pretty nice material in this book. Reeves writes beautifully and manages to really bring to life the stories he comments on. I think you'll be quite delighted with it.
We'll do this reading in hybrid mode, which is to say, both via forum comments as usual, and via bi-monthly Zoom meetings. To help you organize yourselves and decide whether you want to participate - I hope you decide you do - a complete Study Page ( LINK>>) is available that provides a reading schedule, a pdf of the reading plan, It also has a link to purchase the book, links that will be updated weekly, to join forum discussions and zoom meetings, and there's even a sign up form that, if you choose to use, allows yo to express some more preferences, sign up for email communication and some other important options worth checking out. It will also allow non-Treeleaf people to join our reading, limited, of course, to the bi-monthly live meetings, unless they create a forum account. Do have a look at it, please!
Reding assignments for each week will be posted on Mondays in the form of a new discussion thread created here. These will be easily accesible from the links tagged as Discussion>> on the Study Page, in the Weekly Reading Plan section. Right now, all those links are not active, as you can see. Zoom meetings will take place in our Meeting Room. Just use the button on the Study Page to join at the right time and day, or look for the entires in our Practice Calendar.
We beging this book on January 26th
Do not worry, all important communication, if any, will be handled through forum, study page and email equally, so no one is left out, regardless of how often you check the forum or how familiar you might be with it. You are of course free to join in this activity as much as your circumstances allow. Not being able to join via Zoom should not hold you back from joining in the readings and also the opposite is true.
Please use this thread to make your presence known and share any thoughts or questions you have.
I think this will be a lovely adventure and I am excited to begin!

Between the weekly readings and the bi-moonhtly zoom meetings, I foresee a great amount of flexibility for everyone to be able to keep up and participate in one way or another.
) - as soon as you mentioned it in a precepts discussion, couple of weeks ago, but I am not sure if it was registered where it was supposed to. Apologies - I still can't figure out a few bits about communicating in the forum
