    (Minor) bug?

    Hi Treeleaf tech team!

I’ve been noticing a minor issue for a while now- on forums that have sub forums (mainly Teacher Talks and Tips and Practices but maybe there are others) the color doesn’t change to indicate new posts inside from the main forum page. I have figured this out and make a point now to go in and check those ones for new posts because I’ve missed stuff in the past. It would be nicer if the visual indicator worked correctly though. Is there a fix for this?

    Hi Chikyo,

sadly this is a known issue with the forum software, we can't do anything about.
You can define how many "levels" deep you display sub-forums on the main page and the new post indicator follows that display depth definition.

I thought that might be the case. Is this a setting I can change and if so where is it? I played around in my settings but couldn’t find it.

It is unfortunately a setting in the global configuration within the administrator interface.
Setting it to show a deeper level would show all sub-forums on the overview page for everyone and that one would then be quite crowded on the edge of not being usable any more.
Personally I am using the "New Topics" link and read everything new I am interested in and then "Mark Channels Read" for the rest to disappear from the list.
But that is not a really good work-around.
