    Shikantaza "Works"

Shikantaza "works" when one gives up, radically to the marrow, any demand or need for something "to work."

Thus Shikantaza embodies what Master Dogen called 全機, the "Whole Works" ...

My sits always go "better" (reflective opinion) when I don't spend time thinking about rhyme or reason for doing so but simply do so. Just sit down on the zafu, ring the bell, and be.

I found out these past few days it also “works” when it comes to fixing back issues! Apparently, I’m the only person who goes to the cushion unable to even bow and gets up all fixed [emoji1787] [emoji38]

Give up demand, give up need, throw away the basket one puts them in. Suddenly one is not sitting there.

I noticed that I left a sentence out of my little post (although, can anything ever be left out of the "Whole Works"??)
