We have one open seat on our Donations Committee as a long time Treeleaf Member who was serving needed to retire for personal reasons. I would like to submit for approval another long time member:
Per the rules of the Donations Committee, elections is as follows ...
New Committee members will be selected by names of potential candidates being suggested by Treeleaf priests and existing Committee members, a consensus thereof being reached on a single good candidate, then the candidate being contacted to request their service and agreement to serve, followed by notifying the entire Sangha of the candidate's identity in the open forum. Because of the structure of our Sangha, it is difficult to have a normal voting election for new Committee members. Thus, we will give our Sangha members the opportunity to raise an objection instead (either in the open forum or by PM to Treeleaf priests and/or existing Committee members) to the appointment of the new candidate Committee member. If, after seven days from posting, nobody among our Sangha members raises an objection that cannot be resolved, the person will be deemed elected to the committee.
If you require further information, have a question or objection, you can post here or write me at any time.
Thank you.
