Hello dear Sunday Zazenkai sitters,
just a little reminder that following the Friday/Saturday Zazenkai, we will have our monthly this weekend, too.
We will meet already at 9 am CET (8am UK) on Sunday.
The beginning time is anchored in CET.
If you are visiting from the US or another country already switching to DST this weekend, keep in mind that the beginning time will shift an hour for you.
Please double-check with the calendar.
Gassho,
Kotei sat/lah today.

Hello fellow Sunday Zazenkai sitters.
Just a heads up for this week.
We'll start half an hour early, because following the Friday/Sunday Zazenkai's rhythm we will have our monthly one, too.
We'll chant the Japanese Heart Sutra and the Identity of Relative and Absolute and we'll have a little talk.
Looking forward to it!
Gassho,
Kotei sat/lah today.5

For those of you who migth like to recall Dogen Zenji's poem that I commented on last Sunday, and the accompanying ones from Rengetsu, here they are:
"25-C - One of six verses composed in An’yoin Temple in Fukakusa, 1230:
Drifting pitifully in the whirlwind of birth and death,
As if wandering in a dream,
In the midst of illusion, I awaken to the true path;
There is one more matter I must not neglect,
But I need not bother now,
As I listen to the sound of the evening rain
Falling on the roof of my temple retreat
In the deep grass of Fukakusa."
The accompanying text from Eihey Koroku:
"The sun is setting on this year, and we meet the spring. The causes and conditions of birth and death, how they disturb people!
Take up the thousand differences and ten thousand distinctions, and make them one, letting go of subject and object."
And the Rengetsu poems:
"I count off the days remaining
Until spring arrives
But I know that
I will greet the New Year
A little more stooped"
"Clearing out
The dust and grime
In my heart as well
I try to make everything spotless
At the end of the year"

A reminder that this coming Sunday, the 4th, our zazenkai includes the dharma talk and discussion, so we begin at 9 am CET (8 am UK), rather than our usual weekly time. More details at the top of this thread and also on the Zazenkai page:
See you all in a couple of days

Thank you so much for today's zazenkai everyone!
It's been many months since the last time I practiced with Treeleaf, so I particularly enjoyed it!

We did miss you! I´ll ask you later about the retreat!Hi everyone,
Unfortunately I couldn’t be with you yesterday, but I sat with you through the recording. Thank you all...
Bion, thank you so much for this wonderful talk. You helped me put my thoughts in order and turn them from mental ideas into lived experience — something I can actually feel in the body.
For someone like me, who often over-analyzes the teachings, this turning of “thinking” into “heart-understanding” feels like the medicine my practice needs.
I am sorry I also missed the Tea House — I imagine the “party” continued there as well.

I asked my dear wife, Paula , to knock on my door when her father arrived so I could stay as long as possible.
