Large fires broke out in Odessa region overnight on October 9 following a massive Russian drone strike, hitting a port facility and leaving several people injured and thousands without power.

According to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service and Odesa Regional Military Administration head Oleh Kiper, the region came under a large-scale attack by strike drones, which caused multiple fires at infrastructure sites and in residential areas.

Kiper reported that most of the enemy targets were destroyed by air defense forces, but there was damage to civilian, port, and energy infrastructure.
