When a Sermon starts to drag...

... sit zazen. I did ( sans lotus posture, of course). It doesn't mean you phase anybody out. In fact, in the moment, one tends, I found, to be more receptive to the words of others. Notice the quickening heart rate, the rising impatience and let it come and go, like a cloud pattern. I found myself smiling at the end of the service.

    Hi Andrew,

I find that, during my average day, I turn to what I can Insta-Zazen ...

Sit-a-Long with Jundo: Zazen for Beginners (Part XX)

... at many time which are tedious, trying, frustating or unpleasant. It could be while in a slow postal line, stuck in traffic, when there is a flat tire on a rainy and cold day, in the dentist chair, waiting for test results from the doctor ...

All can be "turned" into something boundless and free, clear and smooth.

      Hi, Jundo!
Thank you so much for the reminder. I think I'm probably going to look over those intro videos several times as i deepen my understanding and practice of zazen. Thank you so much for pointing this out!
