Zazen with Long Covid, some experience

This is just to share some experience, nothing more.

Zazen with Long Covid. Three months in.

During exhaustion, brain fog, limbs too sore/tired to move, lift, bend. Ears ringing. Buzzing in brain - dizzy? lightheaded? Sensations that have no label.

Breathing while chest hurts, feeling the rattle of congestion. Balance stumbles. Shortness of breath when walking -- memories of walking a few miles a day with ease.

Chills with no fever, sleep with little rest.

Laying down, mind drifts away. Come back.

Breathe. Just breathe and be still. This is all there is, for now. Mind here, and be still.

Limbs twitch, sensations prickle. Coughing, still congested. Breathe, ears ringing --

In spite of everything, I am alive, and I am breathing now. Time is unrecorded. Just this.

Metta to you. I was there last winter, but things got better after two months. Be strong.

Much metta. The thing that worries me most about covid is getting long covid. Even though I’m triple vaxxed, I remain anxious.

Sending many healing thoughts your way Meian. I fear getting this too, or one of my loved ones. May each breath get a little easier each day.

All the Metta we can muster for you, Meian.

It is almost as if I could have written this just for you!

            Moaning, Rolling Buddha
. A fellow in our Sangha wrote to say that he could not sit Zazen because of intense physical pain causing him to be unable to sit more than a minute, even in a chair, or even to hold still while standing up or lying on the floor. The medicine they are taking makes their eyes jump too, and impacts mental clarity, so they say

But sounds like you have already mastered its point before even written.

                              Much Metta for you Meian.

This may sound a little odd but on one level what you describe sound so hard and difficult. But I also found your writing about your experience very poetic.
