it took me months after I started this thread, but I finally got it figured out how to upload an image correctly. I trust you will find that, in comparison to the others, that it was not worth your wait, lol. Cheers to chicanobuddhista and photobucket.com

              Hello Alan,

Well done for getting your picture posted.
I love the bright colours in this one. Sometimes Zen Buddhist art can be a little drab and it's good to see some vibrancy (if that' s the right word :? ).

Here is a Skylark I am working on at the moment.
                Apologies for the bad photo.

I just need to sort out a bit of the ground and should be there. Well maybe the odd tweak

Here’s an image that I created from a “Monkey King” mask. Long story why I am interested in the Monkey King, but the story the legend does have a connection to Buddhism and so thought I would post.

Hi Philip. Could you post a detail of that Bird picture? I'd like to see the shading technique.

                            Hello Will,

I have taken a few close up shots here (probably too big and boring to show on the forum).

I drew the picture with five pencils 4B 2B HB 2H 4H and a putty rubber(eraser). The bird is about 9cm 3.5in in length.

                            Dirk,

Is there a specific image of a crow you had in mind? A Carrion Crow? They are one of my favourite birds, I like Ted Hughes book poems "Crow " too.

                            All the best,

                            Philip

A Carrion Crow is perfect no particular image in mind i was just saying it like IF you had a pic drawn or were so inclined no pressure ops:

I like crows particualarly, I think because they outsmarted me (easy task i know ) and trained me to feed them etc. One fellow here says in a very funny voice "hello!" in order to snag an extra snack.

Any who I Just was really floored by your nice sketches
