A Special Word for Shugen

I would like to mention that our novice priest, Shugen, was forced to flee with his family from the terrible fires in Redding, California yesterday. They have no information on the state of their house, or if and when they might return.

There are also terrible fires in Greece today, an earthquake in Indonesia, more flooding in Japan. I dedicated our Zazenkai yesterday to him and his family, and to all people around the world facing fires, floods and other natural calamity. Let us offer Metta to all.
