Our New Video - When To Bow During Treeleaf Zazenkai

    Dear All,

I would like to thank Shinshi, who edited at my request a little video on "When to Bow" during our weekly Treeleaf Zazenkai (always available for your sitting here):

    WEEKLY FRIDAY/SATURDAY ZAZENKAI NETCASTS

Shinshi really worked hard on the edit, and did some magic to make something presentable. That is also him on flute adding some Shakuhachi-like touches.

If you have never done so, or not for awhile, please join us any time for sitting our Zazenkais. You can sit "live" at the time (one way or two way with camera), or any time later (with the "real time recording") after putting aside all thought of of 'here' 'there' 'now' 'then.' It is excellent Practice in dropping barriers of distance and time.

    Gassho, Jundo

PS - - The other video I mention on decorum in the above is this one, from our "Always Beginners" video Series:

Sit-a-Long with Jundo: Zazen for Beginners (12) - Basic Zendo Decorum At Home
Some basic decorum and procedures for entering and sitting in your Zendo at home. Also, some instructions on Kinhin "Walking Zazen". Yuriko the cat stops by to help us too. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJ3LvIzX0I0 Remember: recording ends soon after the beginning bells; a sitting time of 15 minutes to 35

When learning how to bow to the Buddha and all Zentient Beings (typo intended), it is important to learn the difference between prostrate and prostate.

                      Both involve sometimes bending over.
