I have received a very interesting offer for investment in Treeleaf Zendo coming from a private capital fund based in Thailand. I am leaning toward accepting the offer, but would like your input and understanding as to my reasons. In a nutshell, it is too good an offer financially for me personally to turn down. I also pulled some strings and there is a chance for some Treeleaf friends to invest too ... BUT ONLY IF YOU ACT FAST! The basic idea is that Treeleaf itself would become part of a conglomerate of Buddhism related businesses, a few managed by us as you can see listed here:

The investment group already has a proven track record running a variety of Buddhism centered businesses including a veggie pet food manufacturer, a publishing house famous in Asia for their Buddhism themed romance novels, a Zen dating app called "ZENdate: For Loving Dharma Friends," a used car chain called "CARma" ...

... a Buddhist based private bodyguard service (Bodhi-guard) ...

... and (my personal interest) a Buddhism oriented A.I. and Robot development firm in which a series of fully automated funeral homes and mortuaries would be a mainstay subsidiary in Japan (named "CEME^CON"), the entire process from crematorium to funeral to family memorial services would be fully automated, as in the following video made by the private capital fund:

There will be a few changes here at Treeleaf. First, our daily and weekly Zazen meetings will be changed to a smartphone app allowing ANY TIME guided AI generated Zazen On Demand ...

We will also be offering consumer loans to members who join Treeleaf Sangha purchasing through our car dealerships ... accepting real estate as collateral ... very competitive interest rates, only 20% over prime.

Unfortunately, our current priests at Treeleaf will be discontinued and no longer supported (we are now negotiating a generous severance packages at 300% of their current salaries, plus an offer to be traded to San Francisco Zen Center), but they will be replaced by a new series of A.I. priests, led by our own Rev. Emi. Jido and her friends.

I would sell my current ownership interest to the investors, but would retain a 20% minority stake, and would receive a seat on the new board of directors. The other investors include a major Japanese auto company, a certain well-known A.I. developer in the U.S., some folks they will not tell me about, a big online university in Panama and several other minority investors. It is hoped that, within a year, we will be able to go public.
