    [HealthDharma] Powerful Bodhisattva Inspiration

    Hi,

I'd like to share this powerful documentary about Claire who lived with cystic fibrosis and the impact her wisdom and bravery had on others. There are too many insightful and inspiring messages in this short film, so relevant to our Bodhisatva practice ( that ultimately is the way itself beyond any religion). One that shook me most is, that it is not about fixing the world, or yourself but about bringing the greatest value possible to others with the life and all its messiness we have been given.

Thank you so much for sharing that, Inshin.

The video has done the rounds in the chronic illness community and is such a powerful depiction of how Claire chose to live even when facing death and uncertainty, wanting to help others in the middle of her own suffering.

Some bodhisattvas are sadly only with us for a short while yet still leave a legacy of immense good.

I can't express how timely—and needed— this video was for me today. Thank you for sharing this, Inshin

I was subscribed to her YouTube channel while she was still alive and I really loved how open and optimistic she was about her conditions for living. She had not posted for some time and I remembered her a few years ago; was so sad to see that she had passed after getting a lung transplant. Thank you for posting this, Inshin.

I hope that I might move this discussion to our new "Health Ailments, in Body and Mind, Practice Group," with a link from here, so that we may keep it around.
